Supply chain management in a post COVID-19 world

Published on

In a post COVID-19 world and with continued uncertainty regarding the implications of Brexit, supply chain resiliency is top of the agenda for many organisations. Even before COVID-19 – a recent report found that 39% of companies had been exposed to supply chain risk in the last 3 years. SAP users focused on supply chain management must have the ability to accelerate planning cycles, reduce response time to change and ensure that supply chain risks are mitigated against as and when they arise.

SAP Ariba users are on the frontline when it comes to adapting supply chains to the ‘new normal’. As such, they need to be sure that use of Ariba will meet their changing business needs, optimise efficiency and mitigate risks effectively. With this in mind, the User Group will be hosting a series of SAP Ariba Virtual Roundtables, with the first event starting on the 22nd of July from 10-11am.

This introductory session will be hosted by SAP Ariba SIG Chair, Pawel Moraweic, and will outline the roadmap this new series of roundtable events, explaining how the discussions will be used to help drive changes and improvements to SAP Ariba. This is a great opportunity for Ariba users to provide feedback on the product and influence its future direction.

In addition to our virtual roundtable series, SAP is hosting supply chain management webinars every Friday. These sessions investigate the challenges faced by supply chain professionals, highlighting how users can make the most of SAP to improve supply chain efficiency. This week’s session, taking place at 10am on Friday, will focus on how to leverage industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing to drive operational excellence. In the coming weeks, SAP will also advise users on how to optimise operations and delivery.
