Planning for S/4HANA after the SAP maintenance deadline extension

It’s been an interesting couple of months for SAP users who are considering or deploying S/4HANA, with the news that SAP has extended its maintenance deadline for core applications of SAP Business Suite 7. For organisations that have invested heavily in Business Suite 7, this announcement will hopefully provide them with greater certainty and more time to plan a potential move to S/4HANA. For those in deployment, it may be a good time to assess timelines as well.

In order to help members understand the adoption process and the potential benefits, the User Group will be hosting an Expert Webcast on April 2 with Jens Bernotat, SAP Global VP, Strategy and Portfolio and Uwe Grigoleit, SVP GTM SAP S/4HANA. This session will give a detailed overview of the maintenance extension and answer any questions you may have. You can register for this event here.

This webinar is one of a number of S/4HANA virtual events we will be running throughout the year. Also on April 2, we’ll be hosting another webinar from SAP business analytics firm Every Angle, which will highlight the common challenges faced when making the journey to S/4HANA, from keeping data in check to avoiding going over budget. The User Group will continue to offer advice on moving to S/4HANA in light of the new maintenance deadline, giving members the chance to hear from SAP experts and share knowledge with peers going through similar implementations.
