This is a change of date from previous years by about three weeks.
If a customer wants to have his IT systems (only the R/3/mySAP ERP systems are considered here) perform the change to DST on the new date, he will have to do the following:
* Install the corresponding patches provided from the manufacturer of the application server operating system
* Install the customizing entry in the R/3/mySAP ERP system as described in note 919538
Only if both conditions are met, the DST switch will happen as expected.
It is to be remarked that only the date for the switch changed, the DST switch in general is already well known to SAP customers. In previous years customers raised only a few messages due to problems with the execution of the switch over.
