The Config Team Australia Turns Two

“The Config Team’s Australia practice began in May 2021 as a two-man operation consisting of myself and Christoph Hermann. Nowadays, we are a self-sufficient team of twelve, with functional and technical consulting, project management and sales capabilities.

“Growing the team organically, we’ve been playing a long game to get the right people in who are super talented and a great fit for us culturally. Christoph and I know and have worked with several members of our team previously, while other members have come from other professional backgrounds, which gives us a really good mix of perspectives and fresh ideas.

“I love working with the Australia team, everyone gets on so well, and together we’ve delivered successful projects for customers all over Australia, as well as collaborating with the UK team on exciting global engagements. It’s always a pleasure to see the customer benefit from our services. Our projects include lots of consulting work, as well as a significant focus on our innovative software solutions, which was one of the drivers for the Australia branch being established in the first place.

“Australia is very much the powerhouse behind our mobility solution PreBilt™ for EWM. Christoph has really spearheaded this area with the support of the wider team, so his well-deserved innovation award at The Config Team’s 2023 annual conference was a massive win for all of us and a real highlight for me.

“It feels like we are building something great here in Australia, and I’m glad to be part of it from the very beginning. When the team all gets together in person, it shows just how far we’ve come already. At our first Christmas party for instance, it was just me, Christoph and our partners, and then the next year it was a big team event that included Andrew and Carolyn!

“I’m excited to see what the next few years will bring. We have recently won a large SAP implementation project in New Zealand which will be our biggest one yet. The team is so happy to be doing this and can’t wait to get started. We’re also looking forward to lots more product deployment projects and further innovations, as well as bringing more of the right people into the team to continue the great work we’re doing.”

I and all our UK team love working with them, they are a brilliant bunch of skilled professionals with a super strong team bond.

“There is truly cutting-edge stuff happening over in Australia. The team are responsible for some amazing innovations, especially ones related to PreBilt such as Gamification, Instant Messaging and Voice. There are exciting times ahead with excellent SAP supply chain projects underway and further team growth planned. We are currently looking for further EWM and TM functional team members, a senior project manager and a business operations manager to add to this great Australian team.”
