It's already starting to feel like spring is on the way, the bulbs are peeping through and we definitely have more daylight. From a UKISUG perspective we are well into our late winter and early spring event delivery. Plans are well underway on our enhanced 2024 Symposiums, we have more than ever, covering both technical and line of business topics, breakouts and keynotes. View UKISUG's
events calendar to see what we have coming up. At the end of January, SAP made some significant announcements when they introduced their RISE Migration and Modernisation Programme. SAP will be offering a limited-time offer that may reduce the cost of migration by up to 50% and shorten the time to value. This is planned to run until the end of 2024, when moving to RISE or GROW. |

We recommend that you engage with your SAP Account Manager to discuss the potential benefits for your organisation as you review your SAP S4 journey and the potential benefits that RISE or GROW could have for you.
As a User Group we are always pleased to get feedback and thoughts from our membership on announcements like this from SAP – both good and bad! We continue to engage with SAP locally and through SUGEN on the finer details and limitations of the announcement and to ensure customers don’t feel expected innovations of their SAP portfolio are not being delivered to them. |

Why Businesses Should Take a Global Approach to Compliance
For businesses, complying with local laws, rules and mandates is not optional, but a requirement to operate. Not easy when global organisations are facing more compliance obligations today than at any point in history. Ensuring that these obligations are being met takes a combination of human, technical and financial resources. The world of regulatory compliance continues to grow more complex and changes rapidly. On a global scale, we observe over 14,000 regulatory changes monthly, spanning across more than 16,000 taxing jurisdictions, signalling that tax authorities are looking for ways to close tax gaps and spur economic growth. The increasing complexity of managing global regulatory compliance has elevated this function in many businesses from backroom task to a strategic business concern at the executive level typically under the purview of the CFO. What has been discovered is that past methods of managing compliance by region and point solution is no longer feasible in today’s global economy due to a lack of scale and dependability. As an SAP user, you know that a point product approach lacks long-term vision and can create significant resource challenges. Also concerning is the lack of consistency in data. With multiple products reporting different information, which can you rely upon to make business decisions? When businesses centralise their compliance management under one global platform, they can be assured that it’s fully automated and updated continuously to account for all new and changing laws and mandates, and users are presented with consistent data they can be confident in.
