Welcome to your September News
Chairman's Note
Welcome to the autumn term, although from the weather this week you would not think it was mid-September! I hope that you all managed to get some time away from the office/virtual office over the summer. During August the User Group team made a transition back to the office and I know I am now also spending an increasing amount of time back at my work desk.
Over the summer, we launched our annual membership survey - this is an important piece of research for us. It provides us with feedback on how key SAP projects like S/4HANA deployments are progressing, user adoption, a temperature check on contentious issues such as indirect licencing (digital access), etc. Also it's great for us as a User Group to get feedback on how we are doing. As a member organisation it’s important we are meeting your needs and representing the user community in the UK and Ireland. If the invite to participate in the survey has landed in your inbox, please complete the questionnaire and you might even win one of our great prizes! Last month we launched our autumn programme of events – the ‘Digital Showcase’, which with the continuing Covid-19 situation will all be virtual. We are continuing to add to the Digital Showcase and earlier this week we added an opportunity for you to meet the new SAP UKI Managing Director - Michiel Verhoeven. I will be participating in a ‘fireside chat’ with Michiel, where we can get to hear his first impressions of working in the UK&I and what his initial plans and priorities are. We are adding more events over the coming weeks so please keep an eye out on the website. Remember we have our first Digital Symposium next week – focused on Analytics. This will be our biggest virtual event to date and if you haven't already booked, get involved here!
Stay safe and keep washing your hands!
Paul Cooper Chairman Spare 15 minutes, share your thoughts and win! As mentioned in Paul's update, you should have now received an invite to take part in our Annual Member Survey. This year, we are using Qualtrics to distribute the survey - so make sure you whitelist the email address: noreply@qemailserver.com.
Our role as a User Group is to provide you with as much relevant learning, networking and collaboration opportunities as possible to make sure you get the best out of your SAP journey. We value your feedback and want to know what we can do to make a difference to you and how we can help you in your role, whilst increasing the value of your membership.
We would really appreciate your completion of our membership survey, so once submitted, you will be entered into our huge prize draw! You could be the lucky winner of one of these fantastic prizes... Home Office Bundle Nespresso Pixie Coffee Machine £100 Amazon Gift Voucher Help us raise money - it's a piece of cake! Although things are a little different this year and we can't invite you into our office to enjoy our bakes - we still wanted to get involved in raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support...
...and we need YOUR help!
Take part in our Virtual Coffee Morning by submitting a photo of your coffee and cake or yourself enjoying it - and we will make a donation for every photo we receive.
Your photos will be displayed on our website. Our Virtual Coffee Morning opens this Friday, and will be open for a week to ensure we get as many entries (and raise as much money!!) as possible.
Keep an eye out on the UKISUG homepage on how to submit your snap!
