Chairman's Note
May is almost over and the temperatures this week show summer is on the way! Earlier this week I was at the SAP EMEA North Sapphire in The Hague, it was great to see so many customers together after the last few years and get to meet some of our members that had travelled to the event. Craig and I had the opportunity to catch up with Michiel Verhoeven (SAP UKI MD) and talk about the key themes of the event – RISE with SAP, Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Sustainability, all of which are well represented in our events this year.
It’s hard to believe that we’re nearly halfway through the year, it’s been a great start to the year with plenty more to come. Let’s take a look at what UKISUG has been up to and what else we’ve all got to look forward to! |

Thank you to everyone who attended our Financial Excellence SIG at Clockhouse Place, and a big thank you to Paul Huston for co-hosting his very first face-to-face SIG, and Geoff Morgan for co-hosting his first Financial Excellence SIG. We always enjoy being out with our community and as the year progresses, we hope to see more of you as we return to face-to-face events.
Speaking of face-to-face events, our Ireland Symposium is just under a month away and after a two-year hiatus due to Covid, we can’t wait to be back in Dublin with our Irish colleagues. If you haven’t had the chance to check out the agenda for the day you can find it here. It promises to be an informative day and with a Skyline Walk over Croke Park we know it’ll definitely provide some high-altitude fun for us all. We hope to see you there!
On a final note, UKISUG Connect 2022 is fast approaching and we know it’s going to be another great conference. Last year was a phenomenal success and we only want to get better. It may feel like a while away but November will be here before we know it, so if you haven’t already, register for your UKISUG Connect tickets today and take advantage of our spring rate.
Thank you for continuously supporting your UKISUG community! Paul Cooper Chairman UK & Ireland SAP User Group |

Strengthening risk management, internal controls, compliance and audit had been on many business agendas long before the pandemic. With these practices thrown into the spotlight, it's no longer a matter of choice when it comes to tightening and adapting the way organisations manage controls, audits and risks, it's a matter of survival.
We're working with TAC Events to give our community the opportunity to attend this two-day event in Dublin with an exclusive UKISUG discount. To find out more about the event, click here. If you're interested in attending use code: UKISUGCCR25 when registering.
